OUR YOUTH MINISTRY TEAM:

Our ministry team is comprised of adults who love ministering to teenagers and want to see them succeed in life! Shane Hamman, our Youth Director, is a two-time Olympian, having competed in the sport of weightlifting at the 2000 (Sydney, Australia) and 2004 (Athens, Greece) Games. For years, he traveled with Rachel's Challenge, speaking to middle and high school students in schools across the country with a message of hope and love while presenting this renowned anti-bullying campaign. With his background as an elite athlete, motivational speaker, and father, Shane will challenge your student to live their best life for Jesus as one of His disciples.

Evie and Dacie Sanders are our Assistant Youth Directors. They have grown up at RiverGate Church and have come full circle from receiving Children's & Youth Ministry to leading it. They have spent countless summers at Shepherd's Fold Ranch as staff volunteers and staff members, as well as having been teachers/leaders within Elevate Oklahoma, a local hybrid school. These young ladies truly have a heart for teenagers and want to see them take ownership of their faith. Together, they present learning opportunities for students to interact with the Bible and each other, putting their faith into action and experiencing the supernatural power of God in tangible ways.

All of our Youth Ministry Team members have completed background checks and gone through an application/screening process. We never leave a team member alone with a student, instead, we practice a two-deep leadership model. If you have any questions about our safety and security procedures, please don't hesitate to reach out to Pastor Cristin Hamman (Associate Pastor) at cristinh@rivergatetulsa.org. We take the security and innocence of your student very seriously and thank you for allowing us to partner with you to minister to them.

RGC YOUTH (6th-12th grade):

We provide community for students to grow in relationships with others and God. From cool hang out zones to dynamic worship and discussions concerning real life issues, students are equipped to better handle life's challenges with support from leaders who desire to see them grow into confident adults. Our students practice what they learn, putting their faith into action with outreach events, ministry opportunities and so much more. We welcome our youth to join us up to 30 minutes before each service to participate in table and video games, enjoy hot chocolate and coffee, and hang out. This service meets on Sundays at 10:30am and 6pm, as well as Wednesdays at 7pm.

RGC YOUTH WEEKLY SERVICES & SPECIAL EVENTS:

We give students an opportunity to connect with each other monthly in some of our fun special events. From bonfires and hikes to movie nights, to late night game nights, there's always something fun just around the corner. Make sure to get the info on our next event - we hope you'll stay connected with us!
